Please join us in welcoming new staff members to the Chabad Center team! We're excited to announce Rabbi Levik and Batya Naki as our new youth directors. Rabbi Naki will develop all youth-related programming as Youth Rabbi, as well as coordinate activities for Hebrew-speakers, while Mrs. Naki will serve as teacher and in a future administrative role for the GEO Jewish Afterschool as it continues to grow. The Nakis have already jumpstarted their work with tremendous creativity and dedication and we're excited to welcome them and their 6 month old daughter, Chaya Mushka!
As Youth Rabbi, Rabbi Naki comes with a host of educational experience. Growing up in Herzliya Israel, he received Rabbinic ordination in and always had a desire to be involved in Jewish education. After directing Jewish Teen programs in his community, he then traveled to New York to complete post-rabbinic Yeshiva education. He spent one year teaching at Chovevei Torah with an emphasis on special help areas. During the summer he traveled to New Mexico to support the Chabad of Santa Fe. in outreach efforts to meet Jewish families in remote areas. Rabbi Naki also served at Jewish Educational Media (JEM) as Director of UX (user experience).
Mrs. Batya Naki grew up in the Community of Hampstead, Quebec. She attended Bais Rivkah Elementary and High School of Montreal. Recognized for her talents as a coordinator and educator, Batya soon afterwards became the Director of Extra Curricular Activities for the Bais Rivkah middle and high schools. She then pursued Jewish education studied at the Bais Chana Teachers Seminary in Tsfat Israel. She then became a Shlucha and teacher for Mayanot Higher Education Institute in Jerusalem. Following her tenure in Israel, Batya traveled to New York and taught at Darchei Menachem as a reading specialist. She ran Bat Mitzva Clubs, taught at local Hebrew Schools and directed projects for Chabad International. Mrs. Naki was the Director of the Camp Gan Israel of Montreal Canada. Last summer ,together with her Rabbi Levik, the two of them directed Camp Gan Israel of the the Montreal South Shore area.
The Nakis are excited to join the Chabad Center team and help develop and grow its youth programming for the Metrowest area. They're excited to meet and connect with people in the area!
