This past Sunday, with its glorious weather, was the perfect day for the Lag BaOmer holiday which is usually enjoyed in the outdoors. Many people, children and adults, came to celebrate at the Chabad Center in Natick. As delicious BBQ foods were being grilled by the Chubby Chickpea staff, children had fun with the moon bounce, mirror maze, face painting and other activities including good old soccer. The fun continued as Davey the Clown came unicycling into the parking lot with all of his equipment. His entertainment engaged the crowd and induced lots of laughter. Over 300 people came through the doors of the Chabad Center to experience hands-on learning, fun and food at the Model Matzah Bakery as well as Falafel on Boden. Throughout Sunday and Monday a continuous stream of schools, groups and families participated in the Matzah Bakery. Sunday's Falafel on Boden was also successful with people enjoying dinner from the Chubby Chickpea food truck at Chabad. Special thanks to Gretchen Brandt for coordinating and helping to make the Matzah Bakery as amazing as it was. Thanks to Rivka Edwards for many hours of volunteering for all kinds of preparations needed for the Matzah Bakery as well as for the great photos. There are many more pics not uploaded yet

Over 150 members of the Metrowest Jewish Community joined together this past Sunday, November 24, 2013 at the Boston Newton Marriott to celebrate the 26th Gala Anniversary of the Chabad Center of Natick where Steve & Laura Black, Gerald & Patricia Clarke, and Dr. Robert Lindeman were being honored.

Falafel on Boden back with a new spin! Recently, on Jan 5, the Chabad Center hosted its popular “Falafel on Boden” – this time with the Kosher “Chubby Chickpea” falafel truck on premises. The food was great, the atmosphere invigorating, and the flow of the program, with the simultaneous Family Enrichment event, ran super smoothly. Thanks to the feedback of the masses and the accommodating crew at Chubby Chickpea, the future “Falafel on Boden” will be even better! We look forward to a more varied and family friendly menu, even better pricing, large quantities of steaming hot food, and all this in our spacious and comfortable restaurant setting!
