The Hidden and the Hamantashen. Women and girls gathered this past Sunday evening for the pre-Purim event of the year: Hamantash baking! Gourmet styles of dough, dipping, and various baking tips were presented and examined. The hidden messages behind the Megillah were unfolded, and fun prizes unwrapped and shared. "Lights, Camera, Action!" was the theme of a recent JGU Saturday night movie evening for girls ages 8 to 16 at Chabad. Lessons of light were presented in an interesting hands-on way. After a magic candle art activity and an inspiring Havdalah service, the girls watched the movie "A Light for Greytowers." The program ended with a brief candle-light workshop and discussion on some lessons learned. All enjoyed the buffet of popcorn and other refreshments. Thanks to Sara Ovadia for the great photos.
