Welcome to Hollywood: 
Jewish wisdom on fame, romance and the pursuit of happiness
This course explores Hollywood culture and values including issues such as fame, rebellion, drugs, love and friendship. Not only is it extremely powerful in its presentation of core Jewish values, but it will also be very attractive to teenagers who are no doubt very interested in – and very heavily influenced by -- Hollywood celebrities and their films.

Course Breakdown [6 Units]
Lesson 1:  At Star is Born (Fame vs. Self Esteem)
Lesson 2: Friends Forever (Friends/Social Life)
Lesson 3: Get High... on Life! (Drugs/Alcohol/Escape vs. Growing Through Life's Challenges)
Lesson 4: Love at First Sight (Romance/Infatuation vs. Love)
Lesson 5: Show Me Money (Is it a Blessing or a Curse?)
Lesson 6: Rebel with a Cause (Rebellion/Teen Angst vs. Energy of Transformation

Dates:
February 2, 9, 23, March 2, 9 and 16, 2010

6:30 to 8:00 PM

DINNER SERVED!

Fee:  $75
- No one will be turned away for lack of ability to pay.  Some scholarships may be available.
